Accommodation options
We support four NDIS-funded accommodation types. Not every option suits every situation, talk to our team and we'll help you understand what's right for you.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Live in your own home with the support you need to manage day-to-day life. SIL funding covers the cost of support workers who help with personal care, household tasks, and building independence, not the housing itself.
- Support with daily living in your own home
- Shared or individual living options
- Flexible hours, from a few hours to overnight
- Goal-focused, building towards greater independence
Short-Term Accommodation (STA)
Short stays away from home, designed to build participant independence, new experiences, and peer connections in a supported environment. STA gives participants the chance to develop daily living skills and confidence away from their usual setting.
- Planned short stays (up to 28 days per year in most plans)
- Supports participant independence, skill building, and new experiences
- Structured activities and peer connections
- Fully supported across all three 4titude hubs
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Purpose-built housing designed for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. SDA funding covers the housing itself, while SIL funding covers the support workers who assist you.
- For participants with extreme functional impairment
- Separate to SIL, covers the housing, not the support
- Eligibility assessed by the NDIS
- We can help you understand your eligibility and options
Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA)
Transitional accommodation for participants waiting for their long-term housing to become available, typically used when moving out of hospital or while waiting for SDA to be organised.
- Suitable housing while waiting for long-term home
- Usually for a period of up to 90 days
- Includes appropriate support while in transition
- Bridges the gap between hospital and permanent housing
